Holkirk had several Ka-Band antenna systems out in South Africa with different UK news organisations, it was a complete success here are some comments from one;

As you know I’m technically illiterate, but it was clear that they were trying something quite new with the KA Sat dish, certainly in the way we were totally reliant on it for such a big story. Eventually they had two TV paths, 4 radio lines, dedicated internet and internal phones running off this one dish which, I understand, is significantly cheaper than a standard satellite dish”
